After a men’s retreat, I received a text from a gentleman who was in attendance: “At the retreat, the preacher prayed for my left ear, which had been deaf. On the third day, God restored my hearing — now I can hear clearly! All glory to God.”

On Thursday February 7th I went to a church meeting in --------. There was a team ministering from --------. It was quite a Pentecostal environment. The man who was ministering asked for anyone who had hyper-thyroid problems or auto immune issues to come forward to receive prayer for healing. I went forward explaining that I did not have hyper-thyroid issues but that I did have a thyroid problem. He did not particularly pray for me but simply laid his hand briefly on me and said, “Be healed in Jesus’ name.” I did not feel anything happen to speak of, but I thought perhaps I had been healed. The next day when I went to take the medicine that I normally take for this condition; I thought it better to not take it. If I forget to take it, I am OK for that day but the next day I will have very little energy and will get very little done. If I take too much of the medicine I get a little manic, I get a lot done but often get impatient or hasty. It was Friday and I was going skiing and I thought that if I was mistaken about being healed, I would simply be tired on Saturday, which would be OK, since it was going to snow all day anyway. Friday, I had great energy skiing, Saturday no problems, Sunday still feeling great. Now it has been ten days and I am still feeling great, much better than before the prayer. God graciously healed me. I did not attend the meeting with a view of receiving a healing, I just was curious and wanted to schout out the meetings to hear some good teaching and experience the presence of God. So, I am very thankful for this. I have also noticed that the daily up and down that I had from the medicine, though not a huge swing, is now gone. My coworker commented that I seemed very refreshed and renewed looking as well. I am very thankful for this and am pleased to share this story. It would have been nine years that I have been dependent upon this medicine.
